Democracy isn't. The electoral collage is. The Us government in general is. You have to many long time politicians in high roles working for corporations, and not the people they represent. It is up to the voters to make sure that those people are cycled out and replaced with people that represent us.

Saying "democracy is broken" is like saying "my broom is broken" when you hold it upside down.

Our elections went on just fine. The electoral college worked. The most telling thing in this election is House election. The Republicans won the overall House vote tally by 3 percent. I consider the House a better metric since those voting for House seats are living in the country, rather than millions expatriates living outside the U.S., and having a say. Those at home are most influenced by bad government policies, rather than those living outside the U.S.
