If you are on the fence about going full fashy progressive, I have news for you if you don't fight back, it's going to be like living in Nazi Germany. They are fighting as hard as they can everyday, gaslighting Normies to believe and regurgitate their racist, xenophobic, sexist propaganda.

FTFY

I didn't believe their fear mongering, I also don't believe yours. Just like the two party system, neither side has the full picture even though they both have some decent arguments. The alt right and progressives are the manifestation of the worst philosophies from their respective parties and each side validates the other sides argument in an endless cycle of autism.

It's almost comical, one side is like "are you crazy? we have to exterminate all of them because they want to kill us!" and then the other side is parroting the same thing, thereby validating each other.

Inb4 massive downvoats

While I appreciate your attempt to deflate the fear mongering, the damage being done by the regressives is vastly clear. Rampant censorship of media and social media, unequal application of hate crime laws, and an increasing reliance on the state. The biggest enemy from both sides is authoritarians but at the moment the regressives have the soap box and they've got everyone's attention.

exactly. If we ignore the conspiracy theories about wanting to break down the western world for a minute, it's easy to see that the multicultural project which they have openly advocated for, is a massive failure.

So massive that it is a direct threat to the stability of many western european nations. This is not wild speculation. This is openly discussed in the more sane political scenery. The more sane politicians have started backpedalling furiously at this point to avoid becoming obsolete as well. Thankfully. But it doesn't seem to be enough in many places. Some places have already been infected by too much backwards cultural impressions, that they have started to turn. And politicaions that cater to their retardation gets voted in, ref City Of London Lord Mayor.

We can't think that it's only the extremes that do harm. The flock of lambs willingly hurt themselves to cater to the strongest voice, and this is what we have witnessed in Europe. They have voted in extremists that want open borders. They want people from cultures that is in direct opposition to our values mass imported, because feels. They have started to think that their OWN Culture is wrong and bad and needs to change...it's crazy. But it has happened. It IS happening. We need to cut that shit down now. We need to educate the lambs and show them the error of their ways.

The regressive left needs to be met with HARSH intellectual critique, and a media that speaks honestly. We have to fight as they do. OTerhwise we all fall.

Then the pendulum will just continue to swing back and forth indefinitely. It's hard to deny the similarities between feminazis and religious right wing fundamentalists. There's a reason for that. Same shit different Bible. But it seems to just be getting worse and more extreme with each pendulum swing.

Yes dont believe everything, but the big 3 in social media have started to censor right wing people (google, normiebook, and twatter)

Now they say they're going to stop fake news! So who decides whats fake? Google, who openly was working with Clinton to be elected? NOrmiebook who admittedly deleted conservative news from poping up in popular news feeds? Or twitter who bans people for voicing opinions that they dont like?

It all sounds like censorship to me, wonder how long before voat is deemed FAKE and then delisted from everything, same with wnd.com , infowars.com , drudgereport.com , breitbart.com , zerohedge.

Censorship is bad, it limits communication and that'll just lead to a war.

I'm not denying that. I'm just saying that knee jerk reactionary movements will only further exacerbate the issue.

I remember a time when people would upvote you for taking the time to state your opposing argument, not down vote you for disagreeing with it.

If more people were willing to engage opposing veiws rather than blindly dismissing them it would go along way to finding a solution to the current polluarising political climate.

That's what I've noticed about the internet. I've always seen it as an opportunity for everyone to exchange ideas and philosophies in a way that would otherwise be more difficult. Where all of our ideas and beliefs are up for debate in the hopes of obtaining the most pragmatic and sensible solutions.

Instead, people create these little bubbles and have nodding competitions.

People take their beliefs so personally. Nothing will change until people crucify their egocentric mindsets.

Exactly, but this is Voat - reddit in reverse - so you can expect the Trump brigade to dogpile on anything sensible.

What? A practical, intelligent and rational viewpoint? No fuckin' way! TRUMP is JESUS!

Voat is not the reverse of Reddit. Voat would be replicated on Reddit once the admins and mods there stop censoring.

The principal issue of this article and what many of us evil racists voted single issue on, was whether we were going to become open borders like Germany/Sweden, or if we were going to boot out all the illegals and be more selective about who we let in. The day you are able to actually present "a practical, intelligent and rational viewpoint" on why we are wrong about wanting to take the latter stance on borders, is the day I might be convinced the Germany/Sweden((('s))) plans are a great idea. Just ad hominem attacking people as racist rednecks is not an argument.
