Although I agree with the right to peaceful protest 100%, I really don't understand the protests. The dude has literally done nothing yet. Even the accusations of sexual assault, bigotry, xenophobia, etc... are based on words, not actions, and the validity of these accusations are up for debate.

I cannot condone the violence, though. Anybody promoting or executing violent acts must be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I really don't understand the protests.

You ever seen a toddler have a tantrum at the store and get so frustrated that he can't have that one shitty candy bar or whatever that he lays screaming on the floor kicking his arms and legs around?

If so. You understand the protests. Little entitled brats having a shit-fit because someone dared not give them what they want.

POLITICO is corrupt and should be archived in the OP. It doesn't deserve our support. Please keep this in mind for future posts.

If you were ethical, you'd link to the beginning of that argument so people could see me debunking your claim.

And of course the media loves it because it gives the crooked talking heads something to blather about and draws in viewers.... so there is no incentive to do anything otherwise.

They have every right to protest, although the calls for violence need to stop.

They're paid protests, not organic. Organic protests don't have matching professionally made signs from Chicago to LA in the same night.

A right to protest is a given. It should not be a right to instigate turmoil through paying people to be disruptive. Soros needs to be arrested as a domestic terrorist. And most high ranking members of groups he funds.

A fair point. I did watch the O'Keefe tapes.

Let me ask you a question. Did the idea that they were paid protests organically form in your brain, or did it suddenly seem like the Truth after you had seen Trump's tweet about it?

I ask because the notion of paying 1000s of people in dozens of cities to go out and protest like that has literally never occurred to any organization in which I have participated, simply because all that is required is for one of those people to go on TV and said, "Here's the story about how they paid all of us to come protest," and it undermines the whole thing.

Is it really so hard for you to understand that a lot of people feel that they are genuinely under threat from the Trump administration? I mean, I certainly heard a lot (yes really, a lot) of Trump supporters saying if Hillary won they were prepared to start a revolution. Why do you have such a hard time believing people on the other side could feel that way too?
