Absolutely. I remember that a reporter posted a dumbfounded column saying that he had been present in Iowa's biggest polling place while voters cast their ballots, and that Ron Paul was WAY ahead in the exit polls. Paul had such a runaway victory that he and other press members were amazed and preparing stories about it.
Then he said at about 5 pm the TV screen in the polling place that was tuned in to the mainstream media shocked the reporters when the TV networks abruptly stopped covering the Ron Paul exit polls, and instead immediately began to Congratulate his opponent, Mitt Romney, on Romney's purported "landslide victory".
Weeks later the media - under pressure about the exit polls - dialed back their reports a bit, and began to say Romney had only had thin margin of victory.
Ron Paul's campaign was finished by then.,
