Yes, this too! I have to say, the new left is suspiciously like a purposeful attempt to sabotage leftist ideas. Rather than focusing on class struggle and helping the poor using the help of the rich, we get middle class princesses who have no experience of poverty telling people how they're so horribly oppressed. It's turning classical lefties away and replacing a movement which could have been a threat to the bourgeois (to use a Marxist term) with something which hurts working class people the most.

Yeah, you wind up with really weird things happening like upper class ivy league college women telling some neckbearded dude who works at McDonalds and lives in his parents' basement to check his privilege while using their own to insult him. Sure there are privilege disparities between different classes or groups of people at the institutional or societal level, but the problem is that it totally breaks down at the individual level.
When they are telling a person whom they know nothing about apart from the color of their skin and gender to "check their privilege" they are pretty much asserting that the amount of bullshit this white guy had to put up with in his life is outweighed the amount of bullshit they've had to put up with as individuals. Apart from the fact that there's no way to know that, it really shouldn't even matter. We shouldn't pay attention to some person's problems because they're not as bad as yours so until that gets fixed we need to ignore this other guy?
The sjw princess types you mentioned are pretty clearly trying to control the cultural flow of information and ideas. Even though everyone has to live in this world, they'll instantly dismiss people's opinions what's not "I agree with you and now I will shut up" in discussions that are meant to shape the way people should be interacting with each other, just because of who they are.
I'll probably make many of these same comments again elsewhere because this stuff really bugs me.
