You seem to be disagreeing without actually disagreeing and even agreeing by implication. Or maybe you're a sophist or don't understand the concept of proportionality. Or maybe we don't understand each other?

Suffice it to say that if one group is 60-70% of the population and gets a third of the welfare outlays and another is in the 10-15% range but also gets a third it is not the 60-70% group that is disproportionately receiving welfare. Indeed, racially speaking, this amounts to a massive wealth transfer from whites to Hispanics.

Yes, I picked up on that, or thought I probably did. It just didn't particularly pertain to my proportionality argument much less refute it. I was alluding to a larger issue of Hispanic attitudes about the role of government anyway. In surveys they come up decisively statist. They believe it is the proper function of government to take care of people. Hence they vote for the welfare party. How much they get compared to poor whites is a worthwhile side issue but does not address the fact that they vote as they do due to their big government inclinations or that they hold these inclinations at much higher levels than whites when comparing the two groups as a whole.
