You can read and write but you lack the ability to understand. Mexico's primary economic engine is remittance. Remittance has now surpassed their oil exports. In case you are unaware of the definition of remittance, let me give you a brief simplified explanation. Remittance is where a people of a foreign nation work in an adopted nation and send the majority of monies earned, via working, welfare, drugs sales, prostitution, human trafficking, other criminal activity, etc, back home.
Mexico will never spend money on their own people until they are forced. America is a sovereign nation, our success is not Mexico's excuse for not creating a function non-parasitic economy. Ending remittance and ending foreign aid which can be done with a pen and a phone call, will force Mexico into three possible situations. Because remember foreign aid in not mandatory or indefinite.
1.) Lose the vast majority of 1.2 trillion dollar economy with another 400 million yearly.
2.) Build a sustainable economy to support it's own people.
3.) Pay for the wall.
Which one do you believe they will choose?
