If he's so much like Hillary wouldn't he steal votes from Hillary? How could he be a plant then?

Logic, people downvote it.

Simple: most people who would vote for Hillary would never for Libertarian. This will push people who'd vote for an actual Libertarian to stay home and not affect the polls.

Let's just set aside your assumption that Johnson is actually trying to be a spoiler for Trump and go with the assumption that he may siphon votes from Trump regardless of intent. Granted, while he and Weld are both former Republican governors, that fact will not likely be known by many people outside of their home states (for the record, New Mexico tends to be red, but only has 5 electoral votes, Massachusetts is a blue state with only 11), and neither of them have served as a Republican for more than a decade at least (13 years for Johnson, almost 20 for Weld). There are also a lot of disenfranchised Bernie supporters that will not vote for Clinton, no matter what...a "NeverClinton" cadre, if you will.

Additionally (and most importantly), if you'd paid attention to the general election polls for the last couple of months, you'd have noticed that Clinton regularly beats Trump by at least a few points on the spread, regardless of whether Johnson and Stein are included in the poll or not. This means that people like Johnson (and, for that matter, Stein) pull votes from both parties, and they seem to pull them about equally.

In short, a 3rd Party candidate will probably not be the difference here for either Trump or Clinton, at least according to the polling data, because 3rd Party voters are not mainstream voters in the first place. Most of the NeverTrumpers and the Bernie supporters (as is the case with most dissatisfied major party voters on election day) will likely just abstain from voting altogether this year.

Woah woah woah woah In no way did he endorse the blacklivesmatter movement in this video. He specifically avoids it but says the movement brought awareness to what is a real issue. "Our heads have been in the sand" or something. (We're ostriches)

The core BLM movement itself has some radical ideas that I doubt GJ agrees with (or any 40+ year old man). He avoided here if anything.

Has this guy read the TPP? Why do libertarian's want open borders?? These are the problems with Gary Johnson.

it's not a real issue.

If anything all they've done is make talking about the issue of the militarization of the police impossible.
