It's just a couple dudes though. With the Dems, I feel like it's systemic abuse that's extraordinarily difficult to upend; with the Libertarians, I at least feel that things could still change.
My vote in November has yet to be decided, but I do think it would be a good idea to get a third party on the debate stage, and with Johnson nearing that 15% threshold, I've been claiming that I'm voting Johnson in any surveys I've been asked.
Depending on the polling down the stretch, if it's something like Johnson at 7% and Stein at 4%, I'll be voting Stein in hopes that both major third parties get to 5% to be able to split the federal funding next election (though it's funny to think that the Libertarian Party would be getting federal funding).
Fuck the current system, and while we should be voting congressman, local officials, etc. that are willing to change the rules for the future, unfortunately at this time we still have to figure out a way to work within the rules to vote those kinds of people in. And to me, nothing has been slowing that progress more than our current duopoly.
