Great move by both candidates. In agreeing to the debate to the exclusion of Clinton they make her appear irrelevant. No matter who wins the Trump v Sanders battle of ideas the real loser will be Hillary.

i think it's great for trump. one thing though, the largest stadium possible sounds like a security risk. a crowd full of crazed leftist minorities can become dangerous.

Largest stadiums in this country are built for NASCAR. I've gotta think that NASCAR towns would give a home field advantage to trump

huh, good point. I'll watch from home...with popcorn for when it goes south.

Edit: ^crazed leftists. Minority status irrelevant.

All they need is to cast the debate live to YouTube.

Yep, it's a hugely beneficial move for both.

This debate is going to be a beautiful thing.

Also putting Sanders supporters as well as Trump supporters in the same area might not be a wonderful idea...

Are you kidding? Itll be beautiful seeing sander supporters getting their asses kicked over something they start

That's the unfortunate thing. Sanders supporters will undoubtedly chimp out, yet if one Trump supporter does anything Trump will be the bad guy. Seeing it happen will be great, though.

Nah,

Trump will ultimately benefit. The recent swing in national polling is a result of millenials changing their alliance. Trump needs to show up, and needs to look like he has better plans than socialists.

This shouldn't be hard with the following going on:

Islamification of Europe by globalists; endless rapes and regular excessive violence against children by "refugees"

Oil glut and looming banking collapse (I'm not speculating about the former, but I am speculating about the latter), and the usual outcome of an unmanageable banking collapse: Major wars. Possibly WWIII is already on the go. The only major actor missing is China.

Continuing embarassment of socialism vis a vis Venezuela.

Trump can lose.

The main reason why is that millenials have been required to have 10 years of experience for entry level positions (read entry level pay with a career worth of expertise).

Bernie does have supporters that will follow him all the way because of the issue I just listed. Every company advertising entry level jobs that require ten years of experience should burn in hell, and if Bernie gets in, to a greater extent, all large corporations will.

WWIII is probably going to be fought with EMP, assault of internet-connected infrastructure, or in the worst case all out global thermonuclear war. My expectation is an intensification of the proxy wars going on in the Middle East, suggestions of laws expanding propaganda/censorship powers and the death of public, free, mostly anonymous encrypted communications until one country dares take a step across the line, and everything goes to complete shit. We're on the fast track to 1984, and I don't think that anyone we elect is going to be able to fix this. Trump and/or Sanders might be able to delay it, but the men only have 16 years in the best case scenario. By then the weapons tech will be far more advanced, and probably be able to be better controlled outside complete digital devastation. I think the main time-bomb lies in the EU rather than the US though which is why I imply the importance of who we elect being mostly irrelevant. The EU is on a fast track to collapse, and there needs to be major overhauls specifically of the political climate, PC bullshit, and handling of "refugees". It's very possible the US will get dragged into this because of alliances and have to "save face" by acting, putting us in a catch-22. I hope that if the worst case happens to the EU that the political climate of the US takes note, because we're making the same mistakes the EU is except of a lesser degree, and still have time to back out and reorganize. Trump would be the optimal president for this.

All we can really do is inform ourselves, vote Trump, become responsible gun owners, and make contingency plans.

Millenials leftists are:

  • Islamification of Europe by globalists: okay with that

  • endless rapes and regular excessive violence against children by "refugees": It's right wing propaganda

  • Oil glut and looming banking collapse: On board with that.

  • Continuing embarassment of socialism vis a vis Venezuela: It's a right wing CIA coup. They killed Chavez and are provoking the collapse.

So no, Trump won't win them over unless he turns coat and become even more leftist than he is. Or put it in other words, he needs to becaome as leftist as he used to be.

Trump supporters should really just invest in personal riot shields before going to these events.

You could even put Trump stickers on the front, it would be great.

biggest stadium possible

No, how about we do it indoors and have good security. There doesn't have to be 100k people there live, there's this invention called television. I don't want Mr. Trump assassinated by BLM thugs

This is a bad idea, they should not have a debate.

They should have a series of debates.

And they should make it so each debate focuses on one family of related issues, followed by some questions from the audience to keep things interesting.

If they did like 5 debates, all done in different locations in quick succession, one a week say - it would be the biggest slap in the face either could give their respective parties' leadership.

Hillary would be livid to be left out of that much press.

If Trump is smart, it doesn't have to be. If he plays his cards right he can paint himself as a potential candidate for all the disenfranchised Bernie followers.

Won't be easy, but this could be a huge chance for him to gain a massive support from an unexpected sector of the population.

I agree. Insomuch, I really hope he keeps the attacks aimed at bernie's ideas, not his person. If he does it with class, he'll win a LOT more of them.

Yasss! Her best chance at getting elected would be to hide until after elected. Just like our PM in Canada did.

Your saying Clinton is going to try and hide; hoping everything blows over, and than she can just walk into the oval office?

Yes, her best chance of being elected at this point is to attract the less attention possible.
