But a small core of Never-Trump operatives is still plotting a contested convention.

This is the sub-title that this article links to. I had never heard of a "contested convention" before, so, I looked it up: US election: How does a contested convention work? This is a very interesting article on what a contested convention is, how it works and how it's being used right now. It's also very interesting that the article is from the BBC.

You must not keep up with the news much. The possibility of a contested convention has been extensively covered in the US media in great detail for several months now.

No, I don't watch the Actors Guild A.K.A. Main Stream Media and for the first time in my life I hardly follow the presidential race because now I realize that even if I for one second thought that my vote counted, the odds of anybody being able to make a difference in our corrupt government system is zero.

So, no I didn't know about this, but found it interesting and investigated it. I don't even pretend to know the all answers to everything, but I do like to find out. Hindsight, I wish that instead of replying back to this I would have posted in TIL. That's probably a more appropriate place. I apologize for that. However, I hope you're not crucifying me for not knowing something that's very obvious to you and to countless of others. It wasn't obvious to me, but now I know.
