Single payer would be good for the US to have, if it wasn't for the insurance industry middleman.
Not great, not prefered, but it would be a better start than what the ACA has been.
I'm thankful every day that VA coverage was included as primary care. My late father lived long enough to get as much love and care we could give him, and he gave us a little preparedness for when he did pass away. A bill the size that he had would have put us literally on the street and he would not have gotten a casket, but the VA stepped up and covered everything.
