Catholicism is NOT Christian!

Roman Catholicism refuted.

Part of the article on the "Pope":

(Matthew 23:8-10) "But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. {9} And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. {10} Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ."

"In Matthew 23:9, Jesus clearly condemns the use of "pope", from the Greek "páppas", meaning "father". Besides the Pope, of course all Catholic priests are referred to as "father".

The Roman Catholic Church banned access to the Bible:

From everything we've learned so far, it should be no surprise that the Roman Catholic church actively kept the Bible out of the hands of the general populace (the laity, or worshippers, as opposed to the clergy, or priests). At the Council of Toulouse in 1229, the Roman Catholic church decreed:

"We prohibit also that the laity should be permitted to have the books of the Old and the New Testament; unless anyone from the motives of devotion should wish to have the Psalter or the Breviary for divine offices or the hours of the blessed Virgin; but we most strictly forbid their having any translation of these books." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Council_of_Toulouse)

By this decree, the Roman Catholic church officially deemed it illegal to both possess the Bible and to translate the Bible from Latin in an attempt to hide God's Word from the people. One victim of this evil was William Tyndale, the first to translate the Bible from the original Hebrew and Greek into English, who was strangled to death and then burnt at the stake in 1536. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Tyndale)

No Christian would ever keep anyone from the Word of God (much less murder someone for translating it), because we know that the Truth, Jesus (John 14:6), makes us free:

(John 8:32) "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Catholic murders:

"All of the killing by Catholics in the past (estimated to be around 50,000,000 or more murders between 606 AD and the late 1800s! (http://www.cs.unc.edu/~plaisted/estimates.html) absolutely cannot be attributed to actual Christians. Let's see what Jesus says about killing:

(Mark 10:19) "Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother."

"Do not kill."

(Matthew 5:38-39) "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: {39} But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."

Not only that, but to not even resist evil! This condemns all attempts at purging “heresy” with violence, from the Inquisition, to the Witch Trials, and beyond.

Jesus' real church, real Christianity, is innocent."

There's no comparison between historical Christian violence and Islamic violence.

They literally share the same origin story. The two religions caused the same violence. They are literally perfect as a comparison.

New Testament specifically preaches non-violence. This cartoon is a false equivalence.

It's not trying to draw an equivalence, if you could take off your nerd glasses for a moment and enjoy a cartoon.

Luke 22:36

And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one.

(Matthew 5:43-44) "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. {44} But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

(Mark 10:19) "Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother."

(Matthew 5:38-39) "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: {39} But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."

And where does he say to use that sword?

The new testament also says the old testament is valid forever, and the old testament has a list of trivial shit you're supposed to kill people for.

Christianity has mostly grown out of barbaric stone age behavior, however- Islam is still firmly rooted there, and it will kick and scream and get all murdery about the process of becoming civilized just as Christianity did.

It absolutely does not.

(Romans 7:6) "But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter."

What people get wrong is this:

(Matthew 5:18) "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

But Jesus said in the verse before that:

(Matthew 5:17) "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."

He FULFILLED the old law! Thus, now we have a New Covenant with God through Jesus: the New Testament.

No such thing will happen. All these edgelords trying to draw equivalence between two texts that are completely different.
