The cast iron weights at sports authority say made in China. How the fuck is it cheaper for a cast iron weight to be made in China and shipped here. Clearly there's a problem.

If you think that's worrying, I would stop buying processed chicken in the US. Since a couple of years ago, it's been deemed "cheaper" to ship dead chickens to China, process them over there, and then ship them back. Of course that's the official story. My guess is that Chicken from the US is bought at a premium by rich Chinese, while they ship us back 2-3x the amount back in shitty Chinese chickens (because who in their right mind would buy food from China?) and we end up getting fucked.

I bet Walmart does this. The chicken I get always says "Colorado Proud" which is suppose to mean raised in Colorado. But I don't buy it from Walmart or frozen. Any reference on your statement? I really want to know.

The 8yr old Chinese kid only wants a nickle a day. Plus you can just dump any waste in the local river, saving you all those pesky environmental costs. All of that adds up pretty quick when you scale it.

Globalist "environmentalist" is an oxymoron. A real environmentalist is a nationalist. (doesn't mean you don't care about nature in other places, but that you realize that the only nature you are responsible for is that of your nation, and area, and that if every region, and every nation takes care of their own, then environmentalism will really work).

Shipping by sea for non perishable goods is incredibly cheap. Planet money did an breakdown on the cost to ship one of their shirts. The cargo shipping was only 10 cents a shirt.

Outsourcing will always create more polution, especially so if the production is in a country like China. From 2009: REPORT: Pollution from 15 of world's biggest ships equal that of world's 760m cars

Damn. That ship has got a lot smartphones on it. Maybe making them here would be more climate friendly.

Of course it would, and it would provide jobs to Americans.

I would really like to see a lot more meming and information spread about this. Corporations are THE major pollutors, we're supposed to all buy teslas, but no one is concerned with the emissions of Yum Brands and Dow Chemical. I know many people here are skeptics regarding global warming (me too), but this type of information goes a lot further with people that have bought into the global warming hype. This is how you redpill 'reasonable' liberals. Obviously shills and pundits are going to be shilling. But friends and family will usually swallow these little bite-sized redpills.

This is actually a powerful image. We should try to spread this far and wide.

Buy local and reduce meat consumption if you really care about the environment.

Yeah, I became vegetarian years ago in large part because of the environmental factors.
