Just wanted to welcome and introduce our new moderators, who are doing a great job:
A nature-lover and prolific commentor, @think- first won my respect when a removed post a month or two ago got caught in the crossfire between mods, owners and disgruntled users. The calm, civil discussion think- pursued to clarify what had gone wrong, despite other hot tempers and inflammatory language, demonstrated a commitment to building up the community I truly admired. Since then, an ongoing willingness to help other users meet the submission requirements made think- an obvious choice for moderator.
Seven months ago, I put out a call to the subverse at large for mod volunteers. @ben_matlock was one of those who answered the call -- for the graveyard shift no less. Woooot! His low-key engagement style and all around reasonableness make him a natural at moderating and it is a great relief to be able to leave the board in his capable hands at the end of the day.
Our Viking team member, @EricKaliberhall has a keen eye for the European reaches of pizzagate. He's a prolific submitter both to v/pizzagate, and to v/GreatAwakening and thus understands how to make posts that satisfy the submission rules. He's efficient and to the point with a dry wit to keep things light. Best of all, he's stoked about making our discoveries easily understandable and publicizing all the great research we've accumulated in here over the past year.
@Blacksmith21 is one Voat-day older than me, here since the beginning, witness to the insane shilling that went on when v/pizzagate first started out. A year ago, back when PGisStupid was regularly spamming the board with hundreds of shitposts a week, I tried to get him to join the mod team. He finally agreed! He's seen it all, knows how most things are relevant as well as the likely disinfo narratives and it's great to have him on board.
Please welcome all four new moderators.
