@Vindicator explained to me that when multiple posts go up from different users about the same exact topic that mods aren't able to remove those dupe posts because it can be construed as censorship. The problem with this is that when we have multiple posts put up on the exact same day on the exact same topic, it causes confusion and a fracturing of information and focus. It also slides other posts that may be very important. In addition, it makes the forum harder to wade through which can discourage new as well as established members.
I propose and request a Submission Guideline rule change that will empower mods to remove repeat posts by different users. This should be limited to posts that are the exact same angle (not the same subject necessarily) and which are posted on the same day or within a set time period, say 48 hours.

Very good idea. The rule could be that users have to post their planned submission as a comment to the first post. This way, everything is concentrated in one thread.
