There was also a series which aired on Sky Atlantic in February of 2018 called Save Me (aka Gone). It's about a man searching for his estranged 13 year old daughter who has been kidnapped by a paedophile ring. He is aided in his search by his best friend who is a convicted paedophile. However, the friend is a 'good' paedophile because he and his child victim were 'in love' and it was the intolerant, interfering parents and police who made the girl think that their relationship was wrong. The concept of a 'good child rapist' seems to tie in well with the 'virtuous paedophile'/'Non Offending Minor Attracted Person' (NOMAP) propaganda spouted by the the likes of Salon, Vice and The Guardian. I do not believe these things are coincidental.
