I never thought I would see this day. I am an old geezer. We didn't have cell phones when I was in school.

I hit the net with Windows 3.1 and a 4K dialup modem. About the only thing on the internet really was AOL and some homeade web pages that were largely those selfie type "a shrine to thy self look at my pics of me." Everything took forever. When 56K modems came out

I remember thinking "it can't get any better than this, this 56K dialup is smokin..." 😎👌

A few of us figured out we could make blogs and we started spreading the word. At that time I was almost all alone in this except for when I would stumble across a blog written by somebody that understood.

We wrote like crazy hoping that seekers would stumble across our blogs and maybe find a little puzzle piece that would give them clues to find other pieces. At the time that was about all I was expecting.

Today there are so many people talking about it that it makes everything I did seem worthwhile. Thousands of hours of toiling away wondering if anybody was understanding what I was laying down. It was lonely as hell too.

I never thought I would see this day when this knowledge was traveling at light speed to anybody that could understand it and that an entire, enormous, community of brilliant people would grow up around it.

That cat is out of the bag and it is not going back in. I can't tell you how good that makes me feel, sometimes to tears yall....

Thanks for posting. I know an 80 year old who was at the start with the John Birch Society. Sadly she couldn't make it her life and bowed out but at least has a chuckle about how its panned out.

Thank you for all you have done. It is sobering to know how long you've been on this heartbreaking work. Many of your comments make more sense now.

Thank you for all you have done.

Thanx. I appreciate it. I have paid dearly for it. Back then there were not many of us and we were easy to spot and deal with. I got dealt with, harshly, very harshly.

I would say that since there has not yet been a "smoking gun" something that I can use to prove this to, say my grandma.

what you are spreading is not knowledge but a belief

The identity of the person who got this banned from reddit: Sean Li, a former reddit employee who's based in San Francisco.

Cryptically BRAGS about it in his Linkdin page.

• Directed a project using data analysis to target and remove bad actors from Reddit, resulting in hundreds of users being punished for harassment and abuse that had previously not been caught.

• Responsible for DMCA compliance, processing all copyright notices and counter-notices pursuant to the DMCA, handling trademark takedown requests, and updating policy. Revised and updated the repeat infringer policy, and researched current Ninth Circuit doctrine on contributory infringement.

• Drafted and implemented new site-wide content policy, balancing the legal protections of CDA § 230 with platform goals, and set standards for enforcement of content removal across the platform on harassment, racism, and abuse.

• Created product requirements documentation for copyright and data request tools, acting as the liaison between legal and engineering to drive creation of functional, extensible tools, and resolved disputes between stakeholders.

• Assisted with civil and criminal warrants, subpoenas, and court orders, handling intake, assessment, and production of data to law enforcement entities and working with external counsel.

The first bullet point is the important "truth bullet". Third bullet point is relevant too.

He's cryptically refering to the banning of r/pizzagate under "harassment".

Note that he left reddit about one month after he banned r/pizzagate.

https://mobile.twitter.com/seansli?lang=en

His twitter feed.

Note: You need to have a linkdin profile in order to see another user's full linkdin page.

Linkdin is a banned domain which is a pain since I tried to link the page earlier.

Maybe try copy and paste the text of said linkdin page to a notepad file.

Tried archiving the page too but it didn't work out the way I had intended.

The owners of reddit also own the three Alabama newspapers fighting against Roy Moore today. Wiki Advance Publications. Wiki Samuel Newhouse.

One of the first big fuck you's to Freedom of Speech, the information was out there, they confirmed those were their 'stolen' emails. It's the publics right since they all were public officers sworn to the Constitution. The public did read those emails and they have decided, that's why that had to shut it down

edit: plus it implicates people who have had their hand in reddit admin decisions and people who pay a lot of money to flood reddit, the front-page of the internet built on the idea of free speech by Aaron Schwartz, with bots to project a small, nasty minority as a majority. Corporations run reddit, and Pao stepping in was the death blow

Hold on a minute, did you get CNN's permission to read those e-mails? :p

Seriously though, it still blows my mind that David Brock and his flying monkeys are legally allowed to Shariablue all over places like Reddit. And what Twitter is rolling out at the minute is downright scary, "free speech for me but not for thee"
