Most song lyrics are ambiguous and open to multiple interpretations, and designed that way on purpose. Personally I think the most likely meaning of this song is Dave writing about his relationship with Kurt Cobain, "adolescents" referring to them in the early stages of their band Nirvana (circa 1990), and the whole thing about him wanting to leave is about them fighting and Dave wanting to leave the band.

The "One in Ten" reference is interesting though...

I think you've got yourself so pizza'd up that you're seeing shit where there is nothing to see. There are possibilities in everything and the mind can wander, but you have to keep your head out of the clouds and stay grounded with facts and clear links. You could pretty much apply your interpretation of these lyrics into literally 10s of thousands of songs and come up with a similar "coincidences" if you were looking for them.
