Looks like there is a large service outage on east coast...

But it is not the first time such a thing has happened so I am not getting worried yet.

Can confirm. On east coast and manage websites. All of my website servers are down. None are political in nature.

Yeah I was just in a meeting and one of the tech savvy people was talking about it.

We know the CIA and Amazon are in bed together. I honestly doubt this was intentional but the strings may be there for the pulling. [edit] After briefly reading one of these articles, there was an update which stated most of the issues are stemming from a facility in Ashburn VA. There's a story about the site here... Although when this happened a month or so ago, people online were suggesting this may be a way to break us in, get use used to it. Next will come worse blackouts. So I'm not sure "it's happened before" makes me feel 100% relieved.

In any case, I still and have always been against the reliance of cloud based services for several reasons and why this outage happened is one of them.
