I know how Twitter works kind of. It's not as large as a company as you think.

This has to be caught up in a spam/abuse filter somehow, either by Twitter putting a manual filter on (unlikely) or that when you mention the phrase it gets reported a certain number of times and triggers an automatic suspension (more likely). Not trying to defend Twitter, but it's more than likely that someone with a bot network is gaming the spam filter system.

I would not be surprised to learn that Twitter has given certain individuals or groups access to a special tool that allows them to flag and remove content.

Verified accounts definitely have a different subset of tools. Probably advertisers do too.

In which case they would be setting up an auto-ban which is significant in itself.

The auto suspension is something that gets caught in the spam filter, that can be a number of things. I don't know for sure but I guess that if a bunch of people suddenly reported a tweet for the same thing it would get triggered.
