Did Trump ever mention stopping human trafficking as one of his campaign promises? I watched loads of his rallies but that issue wasn't spoken about from what I remember. That's why it's so encouraging that his administration is making a big deal of this now, only a month in to Trump's presidency, that it's the result of PizzaGate.

No, I think he kept it a secret on purpose. Only things close he did was allude to Haiti and 'something else' that politicians were paid for in campaign contributions that the AG would deal with. Very subtle. I'd say it would closely match with draining the swamp.

He did not but I think he did that on purpose. He's much smarter than some give him credit. I keep thinking about him saying Hillary help to create ISIS and how I eyerolled that comment. Well son of bitch if she didnt!

The Al Smith Catholic charity dinner I thought Trump was pretty clear even tho he spoke in a riddle...takes a village...

Which is - everyone knows, of course, Hillary's belief that it takes a village, which only makes sense after all in places like Haiti, where she's taken a number of them.

He was careful because he knew that even among his base there was programed responses set to go off like a mousetrap and the sound of anything pizzagate related. He knew the Media, and played them hard.

Define human trafficking.

If you mean stopping illegal immigration, then yes, that was a campaign promise.

[–] normieboy2017 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Ya, I think the two concepts are so closely tied that stopping illegal immigration and human trafficking will go hand in hand.

I think the one key difference is that with illegal immigration, the person is making the decision to come to the country illegally.

With human trafficking, this can sometimes be the case as with the so-called 'Coyotes'. But not always, human trafficking is also tied in with human slavery rings where sometimes the person being moved into the country has no choice in the matter, or is being coerced somehow.

I don't recall him ever talking about the actual buying and selling of humans for slavery.

@ 2:57:40 gets a brief mention

Right now, many of you just came from the President, who is involved in another listening session with leaders in the fight against domestic and international human trafficking, including representatives from International Justice Mission and United Way. Their expertise will be invaluable to the President as he engages with members of Congress to raise awareness about, and push through, legislation aimed at preventing all forms of the horrific and unacceptable practice of the buying and selling of human lives.

Human trafficking is a dire problem, both domestically and internationally. And solving this epidemic is a huge priority for the President. Dedicated men and women from across the federal government have focused on this for some time, and the President is committed to continue working with these organizations and departments. A participant list for this listening session is also going to be available. From transcript https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2017/02/23/press-briefing-press-secretary-sean-spicer-2232017-15

@2:24:30 Ivanka Trump interest in trafficking....then

@ 3:25:40

Q Sean, thanks. On the human trafficking meeting today, the President said, well, when you talk about solving this kind of problem, that’s a nice word, but it’s really -- he suggested that, more likely, he could just help out on that problem. What’s his definition of success in this? What’s his goal? Is he looking at stronger criminal penalties?

MR. SPICER: Well, Dave, I think that’s, as I read out earlier, that the President understands that this is a serious problem both for adults, but particularly for children who are being sold both domestically and internationally, and it’s why we brought these groups in. It’s to make sure that we figure out how do we make that number as close to zero as possible and that we institute policies both domestically, but then abroad, and working with our partners to figure out how do we combat the trafficking of people.

So it’s things that we can be forceful in terms of the rhetoric that the President uses, but also the enforcement tools that he uses both domestically and internationally.

Stupid bitch right after that was worried about kids being able to use the bathroom they choose. Ugh really lady?? This country is so fucking stupid that we care care more about this bathroom controversy more than the human trafficking of kids! I want to scream!!

The people don't really care about that. I doubt the media even cares about it. There is no conceivable way for the leftist press to paint a crusade against human trafficking in a bad shade, so they diverted to their bread and butter: identity politics.

Trump needs to send a team of investigators immediately to raid Racine, Wisconsin - Paul Ryan's district. Then everyone will finally learn the real truth about pizzagate and how it connects to a network of conspiracy, collusion and global criminal corruption. Loretta Lynch and her cohorts personally halted the investigations into Racine due to connections with the Clintons and others, and they are all closely involved. Now is the time for the world to know the real truth.

Ugh... That is NOT what Pizzagate is. Pizzagate/pedogate has to do with DC and political elite, not merely child or human trafficking.

Much like a hunter uses all parts of an animal after a successful hunt, so do these sickos with children.

Sexually, spiritually, physically. The children are trafficked and harvested and there are many industries that are involved.

It's a lot like cracking down on hard drugs. If you want to build a real case against the kingpins, you have to start small. Work your way up the chain and watch your back, and eventually you'll have enough legitimate proof, not just leads, to lock every last one of these bastards up.

That, and the President has to pull back the curtains on the horrors of human trafficking before he can take us backstage to see who's running the production. The people have to be disgusted if you want them to call for blood when you connect the elite to the whole thing.

All good detectives will tell you it's not something you rush, especially with an issue the public has been made to believe is rare. They will soon see that the elite, predominantly on the left, but with the occasional RINO, are perpetuating slavery. As long as it's made clear that that's what we're talking about here, slavery, it'll be the end of the Democratic party. We'll end up with actual socialists versus the new, Trumpian GOP, and America will, gradually, be restored to its former glory.

No matter how agonizing it is knowing that countless victims are suffering, justice has to happen in the most effective way, and that way is gradual.

I dunno. If he plays this right, he'll have the nation fixated on the horrors of human trafficking, and then show them the real perpetrators. It'll guarantee him reelection and most of the left as well as part of the right will be thrown in jail, if the cops arrive before they kill themselves. I bet the Clintons jump off of something.

All that being said, this is the fight against what can only be described as the remnants of slavery. If he purges it from our country, he'll be spoken of in the same sentences as Lincoln, and he won't even have to fight a war.

And scarily there are more slaves currently than there were for the entire duration of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade
