Don't know about you, but I'd rather not become the country who collapses into a nightmare that other countries want to prop up on one side or the other and fight over, like we've been doing to Middle Eastern countries.

I think it's good to have this feeling in a way. It makes us feel more empathic towards other less powerful countries and the 'unfair' fates they've been forced to live and endure. Somehow, Qaddafi, Hussein and Assad don't seem as despotic and as tyrannical as they once did.

our freedom to destroy and rape them. To behave as imperialists while claiming a moral high ground. All the people (I know a Veitnam Vet specifically with this position) who "defend the troops" actually think its so that we have the right to burn the flag!

They do. But "They" is not who we were told it is. "Evil has found a willing servant" but it's not the Muslims - https://vimeo.com/109878215 -

Of course they're not that bad. They're bad, of course, the same way we all are.

But they also become targets for total exploitation from the CIA and Soros.

But they are put in by the CIA, for the purpose of being exploited or later taken out. Saddam Hussain kept 3 different factions reined in better than what's there now (chaos) and we know he had mustard gas because Rumsfeld sold it to him in the 80's. I was told this by an ex-marine, I don't have a source but I don't think its farfetched.
