It was called The Pizza Tapes because a copy of the original recording was stolen by a pizza delivery boy. The album is amazing and the story behind it always seemed legit. From the Wikipedia page:

In February 1993, Grisman was playing with Rice and invited Garcia to his studio. Over the nights of February 4 and February 5, the trio recorded what would be known as The Pizza Tapes. Garcia's copy was stolen by a pizza delivery boy and, not long after, Grisman heard a song on the radio in New York City. Fans started bringing tapes to Grateful Dead shows for autographs, and shortly after, the band confiscated a box of bootleg CDs of the session.[4]

Jerry Garcia and David Grisman also have an album called "Not for Kids Only", Grisman has an album called "Hot Dawg" with songs like "Minor Swing", "16...16", and "Devlin'". Another album of theirs from 1991 has a song called "Arabia"....may just be a coincidence but there seems to be many hints in the albums and song titles of this amazing duo.
