and Voat will be where intelligent adults actually discuss real issues without fear of censorship

Except from getting shitposts from some existing Voat users, apparently. I also wonder how censorship-proof Voat really is. Are there some examples of how Voat protects against censorship or are we just relying on the people moderating and the admins to be perfect?

I want to see you kick him in the dick. For educational purposes, of course.

What I've found in my time lurking here is that, on average, voat users seem to be better at recognizing shitposters, shills, and slideposts, and hence mods take a more passive role than on eddit.

Public mod logs. People get outraged and then person is forced to resign from being a mod. Happened before. It's easy to cut the hydras head when they can't hide.

This is definitely an aspect I appreciate on Voat. That and the fact old submissions aren't auto-locked (that was such a backward decision on Reddit's part).

/u/she tried to censor /v/askvoat. The community downvoated her into oblivion, and when she whined to /u/Atko about not being able to make /v/askvoat a safespace, he told her "calm your tits" and not to try to suppress free speech.

@she make her way into becoming a mod at one point, from what I can remember. I think it was her sneaky Reddit Power Mod attitude that people especially did not like.
