Yeah... no they won't.

We don't have the prison space. And if we started actually enforcing these backwards and pathetic laws, the public backlash would force political and perhaps even legal change.

The whole point of this law is not to be enforced, but to just exist in the hopes it will scare people out of pirating.

Oh of course, and that person will be from a questionable background; someone for whom the public would not rally around.

Could you imagine if they tried to jail someone's grandma for torrenting Songs of Praise?
