I mean it's a good photo, but why are people using voat as a reddit mirror? Can we not think of original content instead of reusing it...

I left reddit shortly after FPH was banned, I got this from imgur. http://imgur.com/gallery/limTuEs It's going to be difficult finding 'original content' on a link sharing website...

I dont think that its a very good idea to repost something that was already posted on a platform as big imgur right now because I believe it takes away of the uniqueness of this site. If this serves the same content as reddit or similar big sites all the time there is no sense in visiting voat.

Too many migrants (myself included). Wait it out for a while, voat will eventually develop its own hive mind/personality.

And since it will be made almost entirely of old reddit users it will be essentially the same thing just with a new slightly different set of rules. This isn't like the great digg migration, where a few million people left digg and joined reddit (an established site with millions of users already). This is a bunch of redditors leaving reddit to a brand new site that looks and feels exactly like reddit.

I assume voat will be basically a mirror until the population establishes its own identity as imgur did.
