There is a reason people have been leaving that place for thousands of years.

The only thing keeping them anchored right now is our reliance on oil.

Once that is all dried up, I have plans to buy Kuwait for around $3,200 and a case of Fruit Roll Ups

I'd rather have plans to build a large wall around the Arabian Penninsula and never let those fucks out of it again.

Nukes are cheaper.

You could fund it with a PPV of the surveillance cameras.

Throw in a case of Slim Jim's and you can have the Arab Emirates as well

[–] Awakening 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

No thanks, I been to UAE a few times, they can't even build a proper World Map made outta sand.

Plus....get ur fuking hands off mah jerky, I need that when i'm in the field.

Slim Jims contain pork. But if you're hungry enough … Islam? What's that?

Like in the Mad Max game. Except for the camels.

[–] Kleyno 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

They ate all the camels... from the zoo.

There's one in south GA that is similar - old WWII airfield that is now the Harris Neck NWR. The climate is different, but the nature take over is the same. This is a pic of one of the runways

It's a cool place to explore if you ever have the chance.

They need a sand plow.

I have to think this must be a common occurrence over there, something they need to deal with routinely. Could this happen quickly perhaps during a single wind or sand storm and they just haven't had a chance to clean it up yet? The road itself looks to be in good shape that it doesn't seem to be abandoned or neglected otherwise.

[–] ShinyVoater 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Without knowing where this is, it's hard to say. There's been enough chaos that an airfield could have been genuinely abandoned while still in good shape. That the camels are crossing it in both directions seemingly without a care in the world suggests abandonment, but it's not definitive.

It's a highway.

There is a Grand Tour episode in the uae.

hamster is trying to top speed a lambo but can't because he has to slow down often for the shifting Sands.

Maybe if they line the roads with palm trees it would help some.

Just like roads in winter up in Canada.

[–] torhent 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Needs more glass.

[–] Selfpropelled 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Street sweepers are so lazy over there.

[–] Yuke 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Photoshop. Unless, of course, it's perfectly normal for there to be trees in the middle of the road.

This is why we never have to worry about damage man does to the earth... it will always overcome and survive
