I don't know about the mods but having a degree in fine art, I don't see artistic nudity to be the same as "nudity" in general. After about 5 minutes in figure drawing, you forget that the person in front of you is nude and it just becomes a thing to draw with it's own challenges as any other still life object. I suspect that the rule was originally intended to cover tasteless nudity but that opens up a whole can of worms about "obscenity".

While at the same time, I have to ignore the rule and sort of guess it is not relevant in this circumstance. We should have rules that can be actually universally applied.

The courts in the US tried for years to define what was obscene and what wasn't. Is a boob obscene? If so, what about breastfeeding? What about the Venus statue and other similar art forms?

I think we can all agree on what is tasteful and what is obscene by general consensus. At least for a while.
