I like this image for all the realities it shows.
You have over a dozen men, in the open, heading towards an enemy beach. Four other landing craft are visible, and there's a ghostly implication that there are many, many more.
You have the forced perspective of the battleship, showing this gigantic mountain of steel - complete with a washout of the main battery's flash, showing the raw power of the ships.
Finally, you have a bit of a juxtaposition - again, we have lightly equipped, mass-conscripted men in the open - yet the battleship has multiple radar sets. Despite the fact that mass wars continued with Korea and Vietnam, here we have a hint of the high-tech wars of the future.
