I got another one for you guys: https://www.flickr.com/gp/negroslim/iC551A

I've been working on a series as I go that works to capture public phones as I come across them. Maybe not the most interesting thing out there but something a bit different I figure.

I like the idea! I think theres potential to use this idea to do some really creative and interesting work if you want to.

I always like seeing these as it's a cool throwback to when I was a kid and these were everywhere.

Does anyone have any advice for a new wedding photographer? I've got a few weddings I'll be shooting this summer as a second shooter. I've got the gear aspect to it all figured out, but does anyone have non gear related advice?

Dress sharp but make sure you're comfortable, you want confidence and the ability to move quickly both on foot and on knee. Be respectful but don't be afraid to get where you need for the shots. Try and be at the rehearsals you want to know when to expect things like the first dance, cake cutting, etc. And if it's offered, have a drink, it can really help to loosen you up.

I don't drink, but the rest of the advice is pretty great! Soda with caffeine is probably what I'll drink instead of a drink lol. Or maybe even coffee or tea instead (I try to avoid caffeine and unhealthy drinks as much as I can)

So I've been watching alot of The Angry Photographer on Youtube. He's a bit crazy and I think that's why I enjoy his vids as much as I do. The advice has been solid, for instance using distilled water and a cotton swab for cleaning lenses works awesome. He also replied to one of my comments and said to check Craigslist. Which I generally don't look at for photo gear but I did the next day. Sure enough my partner and I found a 85mm 1.4 AIS for 200 bucks. It's got some moderate cosmetic wear but works great... Here is a shot wide open at 160s on a D3100.
