Hello all,
I've been watching giveaways for a while and I've seen several issues with them. I wanted a way to do truly random giveaways that were relatively safe from bots.
I've started development on a web based app called Web Giveaway. I hope to have it complete in a few weeks.
I'm still working through design but I'm getting along quite nicely.
Development can be followed here https://github.com/dean1012/webgiveawayvagrant
Details can be found here https://github.com/dean1012/webgiveaway
I hope when it is released someone uses it. But if not it was fun doing it anyways.
Any questions or comments let me know!
Edit: feel free to contact me on Steam with any comments / ideas you may have

I've been working on getting the Puppet configuration to be just right to support this application. I've just about got there and fixing to start coding the web app. The interface with Steam has already been completed so I don't expect the rest to be too complicated.
I'm glad to hear you will be using it. I hope you'll consider giving away games instead of just participating ;0 (after all, if everyone only participates, there won't be anything to win!)

I have about a dozen games to give away, but its not on steam gifts, just codes from bundlestars etc.
I buy a LOT of bundles and stuff so I end up with a lot of duplicates, so I'd be a giver, not a taker ;)

Just wanted to update you:
The vast majority of the site is coded and ready to go. All that's left is a few easy control panels, registration, password recovery, and a few tweaks to participation.
I hope to launch the site by Sunday night.

That's certainly good news. I'm not familiar with bundlestars but be aware this site is being designed for Steam to begin with. It looks like it's steam codes you'd be giving out so that should work just fine.
