I just bought an RX480, and the performance has blown me away. I'm absolutely floored by how much better it is then people typically state, so much so I'm going to most likely stick with AMD, at least in regards to graphics.

What an awesome GPU, really shows how strong the 400 series can be once AMD gets their drivers in shape.

their new chips need to come out soon, or at least give me some info, I've waited too long already to upgrade my cpu/motherboard. Dunno if i'll buy one but i'd at least like to know how much Ryzen chips will cost.

I'm in the same situation. Wanna build a new PC soon and I really hope Ryzen is competitive with Intel.

Only AMD can post a net loss and have the year described as "way stronger than expected" ...what a complete failure of a company. Zen still MIA 2+ years later. R9 Fury X still top GPU 2 years later.

I still like the competition. Not sure if they do the same as Intel but I now Intel is in the NSA spying game now

What competition? The faster AMD dies the faster somebody like IBM gets back into the space and we get 50%+ generation gains back. AMD cooperates with the US government to the same extent as Intel so your "spying" charge is irrelevant and stupid. AMD has their own ME baked into each processor, not that ME is an inherently insecure thing as many people seem to think.
