I want to start eating healthier so I have looked into a few different "diets" and have decided I like the Paleo plan. Mainly because it includes all of the foods I already enjoy to eat so I don't feel like I would feel restricted too much.
My issue is that I am the only one in my house that would be eating this way at first. My wife and daughter (she is 5) are very picky about what they eat and don't really like to try new things often. I don't want to press them into eating with me since that would just be an epic fail, but instead I want to start the plan, make my own meals and let them join me when something interests them. Since we are on a limited budget I feel this may present the problem of basically trying to create two seperate grocery budgets that don't over lap well and then it ends up being VERY expensive.
Does anyone have any advice/tips, stories or personal experiences with doing something like this that could help me come up with a successful game plan?

You're very vague in what your daughter and your wife are picky about, and it makes it hard to offer specific advice. The most important thing I can tell you right now is that Paleo is actually not expensive, which is against what I originally believed as well. You'll find that meat itself, without foods high in the glycemic index (potatoes, corn, grains, etc...), will fill you up for hours longer than before. And cooking vegetables is something you've been doing for a while so that need not changed except for veering away from soy sauce, added sugars, and premade sauces or marinades
Other than that it all comes down to preference. I usually cook a large cut of meat (I.e. a pork shoulder) or a large quantity of meat (chicken thighs or beasts, pork loins) at once and that'll be my main entree for the next three days' lunch and dinner. Veggies and fruit I buy daily and throw those in where they belong.
