I knew this was going to be the case from those screenshots EoM posted. Could see it a mile away.

Oh well, only way to get a site like it back is to start one ourselves...

We need to pool our resources. I'd love to get a site started but my job consumes too much of my time, while I'm sure some members have the time but no money to invest in it. And then you also have a difference in the knack for building these things. Unless we have an aspiring "professional journo" in our ranks who wants to stick their neck out and go all in, it will probably take a small community effort to build our new haven.

Though quite honestly, I think we should explore alternatives to an actual website unless someone is really willing to crank out enough quality articles to justify it.

Maybe a forum like a Retardera but for normal people? I also considered starting a Mastodon server but could be redundant given we have Voat, but at least that would be more shoah-proof provided the host doesn't bend the knee.

While I was pondering how I would build a new site some time ago, my first consideration was the community and interaction above anything else. That's definitely where I would start. OAG was nothing without its community, especially there toward the end.

In addition to a cuck-free webhost, a whois anonymizer is essential so you don't end up with creepy people harassing you offline for your wrongthink.
