How do we know this isn't just scat fetish? I don't think it's safe for people to "exchange" poop in a non-medical setting. Medical grade poop is expensive and presumably culture tested to be free of bad stuff, and from people who have the good stuff.

Expensive?? Unsafe? First off, there is no such thing as medical grade fecal matter. (I think maybe the title needs to be adjusted.) If it doesn't exist price is irrelevant. As for unsafe... Believe me, someone sick enough to need a fecal transplant isn't going to want to take the chance of becoming sicker, aka dead, unless there is a high probability of success. With an exchange, rules are established for the benefit and safety of all such as testing. Just because a thing seems a certain way does not make it so, thank goodness.

The world isn't safe. It is a person to person exchange, not a clearing house or central poop repository. There may be fetishists that get on. So what? There's people who exploit every system, but that doesn't mean we should stop making systems. Since people make medical marijuana cooperatives to fill the gap that traditional medicine leaves, and even though some people might exploit it, the co-ops should still exist. The same is true of poop cooperatives.
