I came across this post from earlier today/yesterday. (I'm in a German time-zone)
I messaged the mods about it eariler and /u/Typo suggested that I should say something about it here. I think the above cited example illustrates a blatant infringement on rule #4:
4. Submission titles:
We allow editing of submission titles if they are not editorialized. Please state the facts.
What's done is done and the post shouldn't be deleted. That being said, the title itself gave a completely different argument than what the article was in fact actually about. No one who commented appearantly read anything beyond just the falsified-title, and thus a torrent of discussions about a completely fabricated scenario ensued. Discussions about European immigration are absolutely warranted, but in this case shown it isn't the result of factual journalism, but instead taking advantage of people's ignorance in order to propagate political propaganda. That isn't what /v/news IMO should be about.
