What do you mean, hysterical about Trump, Washington Post as crazy as Obama giving birth (!) into a Russian Putin.

What's confusing about that?

I listed the articles that made no sense and what paper web page they were on the front of. It is Onion material. It eventually was evident they meant these in all seriousness. All I could think is they were in some sort of panic to discredit him and that is why it became absurd?

That is hard to get into the title space, lol, anyway I shared the four stories below, the title links to one of the four.

I remember Fox going after him, so these newspapers must be attempting the same by increasing hyperbole.

That is hard to get into the title space, lol, anyway ...

You mean: "Major media outlets publishing strange articles about Trump - apparently in an attempt to discredit him." ?

When I saw the title, I thought your posting was from /v/fifthworldproblems/ ... or as you might put it: Article was title with voat style of other subreddit. Subreddit not voat - SubVerse(!), users try to reduce reddit terminology use on site. Others say title catches glimmer fashion 1% bug with nicotine filter.

tl;dr: Are you Beck? Because you might be Beck.

I don't understand how people think that electing Trump, a member of the .1%, will help us in any way. He will not change things in America that might negatively affect his business or his friend's business.

Don't worry, it's all a shell game... what you think you see today doesn't mean anything.

Maybe he could be a good president despite being rich? I hate to break it to you, but even though most politicians aren't as rich as Trump, they're still generally far richer than the average person and I doubt you can honestly justify voting for a millionaire but not a billionaire just because of their wealth. There is more to a person than how much money they have.

Now he's gotta polish that turd.

Made me laugh with that. You bring valid points, all the other candidates are shit and bought for. I honestly think Sanders is the only guy really talking about helping the 99%. You can see it in his speeches. He isn't scared of talking about the real problem.

There was that article flowing around showing the top campaign contributors. Compares Hillary (Agree, God help us with that one) vs Sanders. Sanders gets his top money from unions. That at least tells you something about where his interests lie.

Crazy as Obama birthers

You mean Trump, right?

[–] explorevoat [S] 1 points 2 points (+3|-1) ago

No, let me list four examples from the previous week that were as crazy as people who think Obama is a foreign plant and illegal President.

Except this is front page USA establishment media - 3 papers, 4 stories.

No one read these and said whoa, this sounds like The Onion. That just amazes to the point it is hard to accept. These people are crazy as shit, or were these some coordinated pranks? No one stopped and edited these or caught that they sound like scary crazy people to any average American? I knew the 1% and their helpers had separated from the 99%, but what is this? Serious persuasion? After I ruled out the prank, I can only think that they overestimate their power to frighten and control, while underestimated the populace. All social media was during Fox News was that they were treating Trump really dirty, and it was obvious that was supposed to end the campaign. Every single person noticed what they were doing and to what end. Not everyone is a genius, but the attack on Trump is so intense it is comedy. Here are the 4 that really stood out ---

paper - LA Times approx title - Mexico Expresses Deep Concerns, Consults Closely with USA on Handling possible Trump Presidency and Immigration Plan notable text - "Mexico was deeply concerned about being forced to build a wall on the border, accepting the return of as many as 7 million people who have been outside Mexico and are low skilled workers, many without any resources still in the country they left. Mexico would have to handle that while losing billions of dollars that support the country and are sent by the Mexicans now in the USA. To impose this on Mexico would create a cruel humanitarian crisis, one they could not handle, and it would be very close to something that could be classified as a war crime."

paper - Washington Post - 2 stories, one just said "Trump releases Immigration Plan that will create Greatest USA Catastrophe" the other is the "Trump is Putin" story. notable text - this one wins most crazy award, the catastrophe story says in clear language that if the USA does the Trump immigration plan, after 4 years, the USA will be just like the current condition inside Syria after over 5 straight years of civil war, and ISIS ruling majority of the country." - This one was just a huge WTF? WaPo thought it was front page worthy and plausible. Most important it was not a question, but a statement that electing Trump means USA = Syria.

Wahington Post's second crazy shit is the "Trump = Putin article" that is linked and is milder than their Syria and ISIS comparison but still absurd. Trump is an American businessman - the guy has Reagan nostalgia or something. Putin WaPo? WTF? That is like if the Wall Street Journal devoted a page in 2008 to explore if Obama is an African War Criminal.

paper - New York Times Title - Trump releases Immigration Plan to Widespread Alarm This one is milder but still off. They say the wall cannot be built, it is not physically possible to deport any illegals. The focus though was that Trump proves that the USA is currently a white supremacist nation, no progress has really ever been made on race, and all Republicans are primarily motivated by White Supremacy that is carefully hidden in a code that only they respond to by looking for phrases that indicate the candidate shares their racism, and this exchange has become more hidden as time has passed. If Trump is elected and able to proceed it would legitimize whites organizing by their race, and worst case is that we some new type of Jim Crow and social unrest including isolated conflicts. - Would like to see this special code Republicans have created to communicate their racism openly so that no one else can see it, or how ending only illegal immigration, but keeping legal immigration has anything to do with Jim Crow? Again just WTF?

So anyone who wrote about Obama like this would be fired. A Bush, Clinton. Not Ted Cruz.

This is Donald Trump. He is an American Capitalist, who thinks the USA was relatively stronger and richer before, and he says we put some international people and their personal business interests ahead of the country.

If he was President it would be Trump - the guy on TV for 15 years an previously considered sort of an odd American icon.

So Trump is now like Putin, the USA will turn into Syria, Jim Crow returns with legitimate white supremacy, secret racial codes are being used now, and the Trump immigration plan to restore the law would be a like War Crime against Mexico?

WTF? Why are these papers not being called out and this paranoid disturbed fantasy shamed in public like birthers were? This is Donald fucking Trump. What they are saying is really crazy. I could not believe, and kept trying to find the joke or prank admission.

The person you replied to was gently trying to remind you that Trump led the birther movement, and is still a birther.

The writer also calls Joseph McCarthy a demagogue. My opinion is that in retrospect McCarthy was right and the reason he is painted as a villain today is because the very forces he said were infiltrating American society and undermining western culture succeeded to a large extent and now control the narrative.
