Back in ye olden times they actually did investigative reporting. Now they just sit there and read twitter on the air.

Good riddance.

I used to watch one channel in the morning because they were smart and usually pretty funny. Then the station changed the format so the female anchors got all the stories, and discussions.

One of them wasn't even capable of reading words off the tele-prompter correctly. The other one seemed pre-occupied with being pregnant.

It became boring and banal, and the stories they reported on seemed to be pre-programmed.

The horror of them having to report on breaking news was evident every time.

The other stations local news was worse.

Same way out here. Plus, it seems like it's 7% news, then advocacy for one thing or the other, then weather/sports, advocacy, end.

Don't forget T-Shirt of the week, or pet to adopt of the week.

Well that's what happens when they focus on lies, bullshit, and hollywood gossip instead of actual local news.

It's surprising they still got an audience at all.

I'm glad to see this. Local news has turned into them reading press releases, sponsored content, and political activism.
