Rule 1 allows old articles in /v/news as long as they're relevant to today. Ideally relevancy would be determined by community voting, but often old articles are voted up because people see them and assume they're new.
Including the date in the title would make it clear that an article is old and let people vote purely on relevancy. It would only be necessary for articles that are older than the 30 day mark currently specified by rule 1.
Anyway, a community's rules belong to the community; I'm just wondering what you think about date stamping old articles and whether it should be part of rule 1.
