Even better, it's going to create a second round of tension when we phase out paper money, they'll blame it on racism.

That'd be highly inappropriate. Hitler wasn't an American at all and was an enemy of the US in war. If anyone favors putting him on our currency they need their heads examined.

it sucks, because in a world without SJWs, i'd fully support tubman being on money. the problem is that she's being put on money for the wrong reasons.

Historically speaking she's a fourth rate figure at best. She also assisted the homicidal maniac John Brown. I'd keep blacks off of our currency in principle but objectively speaking she doesn't merit being there.

Historically speaking she's a fourth rate figure at best.

She did all she could to help her people escape captivity, and I think that's really respectable. It was really a fucked up situation in the south for blacks, so I understand her helping John Brown.

If your people were enslaved by a bunch of blacks would you murder them to help your brethren? Would you risk your life trying to save those genetically close to you?

I just wish she was as interested in getting them back to Africa as getting them out of slavery.

By 2020 we're going to be that much closer to a cashless society. I'm not sure it matters all that much.

MLK or Susan B Anthony would have been better, but they wanted to get a twofer.

I still stick to my original opinion: put a scientist on it. You could really make a cool Edwin Hubble note. Put the fucking telescope on the back. Bad ass.

Many countries use famous people who contributed to society on their bills. It is stupid that in the US being famous requires that there is a political motive behind you.

Put Tubman on the $1000 bill. Reissue $1000 bills. Go bigger than the libtards and get something out of it.

$20 is lame. I call for a Tubman $1k bill!

[–] Monsantos_Schlong 0 points 18 points (+18|-0) ago

Tubman doesn't deserve a 1K bill, but I'd love a limited edition $9.11 bill with GWBs face on it.

Only if there's also a $7.11 bill with Trump's face on it.

I didn't say she deserved it, I believe I/we deserve it. $1000 bills would certainly help out the little guy in America. Plus it serves to push the liberals narrative in the right direction for the wrong reasons.

They're fools, tricking them into doing something right is one of the last options sane people have.

The $20 is a good bill to change. Jackson was an awful person. Many Native Americans won't use 20s because his face is on the bill. And Jackson would have hated being on a bill anyway. And most people don't even know who he is.

I don't see any good reason to have him on the $20, so I think it's great to change. Hamilton makes sense, GW makes sense, Lincoln is pretty popular, Franklin had a huge impact on history, and Grant led the union army. The only person out of place is Jackson, so I think he's the candidate to replace.

Also, paper money for >$100 is silly these days. It would just be a waste to print bills that big.

Tubman on $1000 bill or higher or you're a racist.

Jackson was an awful person.

Andrew Jackson was one of our greatest Presidents. I understand that liberal cowards don't like him, but America enjoyed tremendous prosperity during his tenure.

Many Native Americans won't use 20s because his face is on the bill.

Zero fucks given. Not a relevant reason to change it.

Jackson would have hated being on a bill anyway

The best reason to remove him. It insults his legacy. He freed America (temporarily) from the rule of central banks.

most people don't even know who he is.

So because your entire generation are ignorant of US history we should take him off the bill? I imagine someone who doesn't know who Jackson is probably doesn't know who Hamilton is either.

I don't see any good reason to have him on the $20, so I think it's great to change

You just admitted to not really knowing who he was.

Hamilton makes sense,

Why? He was not president, advocated against a good deal of the bill of rights, and worked to put America under the control of the banks from its inception.

Jackson would have wanted himself pulled, and I think it is ironic that liberal pussies who hate religion and gun rights have moved towards a Republican, Christian, gun owner like Tubman, but you need to chill out spouting off bullshit about things that you evidently don't know much about.

Hamilton was for all the fuckery that is the central bank which is part of the reason why they aren't getting rid of him instead.

Breaking: Treasury announces additional redesigns besides Tubman -- Treasury on back of $10 to be replaced with a Suffragette rally, while $5 to replace Lincoln Memorial on the reverse with a civil rights collage. So Tubman bumps Jackson while Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton get added to the cast of characters.

I wonder if they'll put the Grand Mosque of Saudi Arabia on the $100, and replace Ben Franklin with an empty circle that's supposed to represent Muhammad.

[–] voNIKONov 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

The blank circle thing is great. Got me thinking why not just fill it with that bendy reflective plastic mirror like that on the time magazine person of the year? That way every special snowflake can be on their own bills. Get rid of the virtue signalling and cut right to the chase.

Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill is OK I guess, but if 'Murica wanted to honor someone who has saved tens of thousands of lives, they would put John Moses Browning on there.

I can't wait for the slang term for this bill to be some black/female slur. "Shit man that meal set me back two niggers!"
