It is federal law to comply with crew member instructions. And under this law they can if necessary take extreme measures. My father was a pilot for many years. He told me that he once was on an international flight where the crew had to break up a fight. Only the offending party kept returning to the fight. Finally after refusing to comply my father threatened to duct tape him to his new seat for the last 4 hours into LAX.

Moral of the story, always carry duct tape.

I believe this is a prime example of "is it moving? Yes. Should it? No. Duct tape it down."

Yup. There it is. This woman broke federal law by refusing to leave here seat. It doesn't matter if you ar e"shocked" It doesn't matter if the flight attendant told you your fat ass had to put on a trash bag and run laps up and down the isle like highschool wrestlers trying to sweat out a pound. You get to bitch about it off the plane, not on.
