Hey, depending on the pellets you use and the model air gun/rifle, you might be doing all right. My first rifle was a gift from my brother. An RWS competition breach loader that fired close to 1,200 feet per second with flat heads. Putting in the tipped pellets made penetration much easier on targets and small game.
Even air rifles can be deadly if you're a good shot. You don't want to take one of those tipped rounds anywhere near your spine or your head. They move fast enough to penetrate thinner parts of the skull and they're slow enough to bound around inside the skull to some degree. Not that I've ever fired one into a human skull but physics does allow for the situation to occur.

Are you ready for a real gun?

Sadly for me to possess one would be a felony. Rest assured that as soon as I can get a real one I will.
