I really liked Rand Paul even though I knew he would never get too far. He really seemed like the only real candidate.

He even sounded moderate on the environment in last night's debate, which most of America would agree with, but unfortunately it hurt his (already near-zero) chances of winning the Republican primary.

I'm going to vote D, since while I really dislike their social agenda (not that the R's is any better, fuck both of them), I will always vote for the candidate who embraces science over those who won't, but I'd probably vote Kasich over either of the 2 D's if he could actually make it to the general.

It's a bit off topic, but when we let the extreme left and right control the selection of our two candidates, it is no wonder we end up with (basically) extremist candidates.
