It's time to revisit the concept of government based on what we were promised and led to believe versus the cancer that we've got.

Fuck leaving. Give every man, woman, and child a gun. Every time a "terrorist" kills someone that isn't the politicians who caused their countries to cave in on themselves, I die a little inside.

They're waging a war against us. We are systematically being targeted. This won't stop until we're all in cages or dead, or they're all in cages or dead.

Look at what's happening to those people in Oregon. They are being made examples of, and who of you has their back?

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The Oregon situation was them showing us who's boss. Watching that recently released video gave me a good idea of what we'll have to face. Mercenaries disguised as feds and given all their powers. Couldn't find the source I wanted. Be ready for ads. https://www.intellihub.com/reports-armed-drone-over-burns-oregon-foreign-mercenaries-posing-fbi/

That poem is pretty ironic in this situation considering who is doing this to us. But I get the intent.

It really doesn't help that those guys were incredibly stupid about the whole situation. First they try to take a symbolic action without having any control over the narrative that would be delivered to the public. Then it quickly became apparent they weren't prepared for what they had done at all. Then they drove around in stolen government vehicles like nothing was going on, then they trusted the FBIs promises for safe passage and again acted stupid during the inevitable betrayal, which got one of them killed. Then they all gave up, making it obvious none of them went into this with the conviction they claimed to have. Seriously, I'm no fan of the government, but I'm not going to rally behind people who are that stupid. They're their own worst enemy, and they will only drag down those who ally with them.

It won't be used to stop corruption. It won't be used to stop corporate abuses. This will only be used to solidify the power at the top and make way for ever more oppression.

And all of you are on a list for complaining.

I really don't care what list I'm on. Our Constitution has not been abolished by Congress and/or the Supreme Court. Put me on a list, these people need to be called what they are, Traitors.

Yeah it has. Congress passes laws against it. Courts rule and add exceptions. Repeat for 200+ years.

That's why they want everything digitized. If we idiots could go analog they wouldn't have shit to collect. They wouldn't have the personell to collect everyone's info. Use cash, write letters, meet in person, etc... That kind of intel can not be recovered easily. If you put everything on the god damn net for the world to see...what do you expect?

This is one of the very reasons Trump scares me. He is FOR the NSA. So this very shit here, won't go away under a Trump presidency. Just one of those things that still has me on the undecided fence. Are any of the Trump supporters out there afraid of this at all? I am honestly curious.

Doesn't matter what any president says or wants, the NSA isn't going anywhere. Two reasons why: It's America's "cyber military" and every single law enforcement/security/intelligence agency at the federal level, military branch, etc. rely on them for information, which they monitor globally. Being for or against the NSA isn't going to increase or decrease their power. They'll get what they want when they want it, because so many agencies rely on them *when it comes to digital information.

This is why we need to revolt. You don't want to know what else I won't be suprised about. This shit is going to get dark.

I feel like our government has completely denied the concept of logic. When that happens anything can and will be excused. If you can think it they will do it.

[–] noblefool 0 points 17 points (+17|-0) ago

Oh, they have logic. They're using that logic right now to systematically squeeze the people of the world into permanent serfdom. Completely cold rationality based upon self advancement and selfishness. They definitely have logic, they just don't feel that they're accountable to share their line of reasoning with the people.

Picture cops as a very well trained, well equipped, gang of thieves that can and will kill you without fear of punishment. Modern day war lords. Go where the cops are thin or else.

Here's a couple really useful links regarding the subject at hand:

Tor Linux, Kubuntu or Mint are good for new users. Ubuntu with Unity, though it can be disabled, sends searches to Amazon. If you want to balls deep install Arch or Gentoo. I would go with the former, Arch. Arch has one of the best Wiki's for all things Linux.

For a search engine, it's a bit more up to you. If you want to, you can decide to trust DuckDuckGo, or use Startpage.

As for email, I would recommend Protonmail, an encrypted mail service based in Switzerland.

For your mobile device, I can't help you much more than recommending you install tor and lighting browser on it. If you have android, buy a phone that can be rooted with ease. I'm not sure what you would do to secure your texts or other information. That said, if I remember correctly you can encrypt your data locally, though that doesn't change what your phone carrier does with it once it is sent over their network. If you really wanted to or needed to, I think the best bet would be to get a burner phone.

Side note, I have absolutely nothing to hide from the government. I'm a private person and put a great amount of value to it.

Also, Voat needs to allow Tor users to use their site.

Sorry for the downvoat, but we need to stop advertising proton mail. Tutanota is completely open-source AND has faster developers.

[–] dryitmat 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Is proton mail not completely open source? From my understanding, they used to keep their web client closed source, but the libraries they used were open

However, from my understanding, the service became fully open when Version 2 was relased.

Also, not hating on tutanota, I think it's an awesome project. Just don't want to see protonmail get undeserved hate.

Very true. Not sure about pre-pays requiring SSN, name and address.

Indeed the only way to remain truly private is to not use technology. However, there are certain steps that can be taken to regain some of it.

If I understand it correctly, all pay as you go phones now require a SSN and full name and address.

nah, I'm pretty sure you can just pick them up with cash still
