I definitely see your point, but there is the security issue. A burqa is equivalent to walking around in public wearing a ski mask - no one has any way of knowing who's under there. The hijab and the abaya are still allowed, though, so religious expression can still be honoured.

I don't like any religion but in Britain we already have a creeping culture of censorship and telling people how to act. Freedom of religion is paramount to an open society, whether the rest of us agree with them or not. We had the same shit with the Sikhs and Hindus in the 70's and the Irish Catholics for 300 years before that. In Britain, or at least Scotland, after a generation they tend to drop all that dogma and live like normal folk

Muslims will not in Europe because of how poorly assimilation is being handled. For some reason Europe went with multiculturalism versus assimilation. For example in America successive waves of immigrants had an anglicisation of there names it kinda set the tone for hey you are in America act American. This is not happening in Europe or America anymore this does not bode well for finding common ground for a melding of culture into an American identity or a European identity. Look at how contentious culture is in America & Europe between conservatives and liberal whites now throw in regressive barbaric shitskins and tell me how that works. Name me one country in human history that has had a successful integration of Muslims of any significant numbers. Hell did you see how long it took just to get Catholics and Protestants to stop warring in Europe?

so what? when that person commits a real crime, then we'll talk. wearing a ski mask is not a crime that i'm aware of, and if it is, it shouldn't be.
