Well said! That is it. Free Speech and advocating our own values is how we negate Islam and unravel its grip on the world.
And yep, that starts by Western Liberals and Conservatives, everyday people and scholars, rediscovering who we are, what the foundations of our civilization is built upon, and then acknowledging the huge moral gap between our values and Islamic rules-based ethics.
We aren't even close to getting to that point as we have a Liberal Hierarchy obsessed with identity politics and not at all interested in moral principles. Those folks are hanging onto a pendulum swing that I think is going to toss them off in the coming few years.
And we have corporate media helping to steer us into the identity politics still further because conflict is what grabs viewers. Well, Islam is going to provide all the conflict and horror that the media can stomach and its association with apologists resting on identity politics and victim culture is going to undermine both. And then we can have that honest and real conversation about universal values and the negation of these by religion in general and Islam in particular.
The pain and suffering over the next few years at the hands of Jihadists in Europe should lead us to the kinds of conversations you and I want people to start having now. So I do see room for optimism even if the path is a dark one.
