Eat shit and die you mind controlled evil fuck, Mark. Everyone should disown facebook. It's not hard once you get over the narcissism.

I think the other side of it is that some people feel the need to know everything going on with their friends. It's okay to not know that becky went to the mall instead of her usual salon to get her nails done. It is literally a waste of energy to care about that nonsense.

I only keep it for the event invites, kinda hard to keep track of social gatherings for me without it. I never post or really look at my wall. My friends however, pretty much only invite people to social gatherings on the event planner so I kind of need that.

I live out in the desert with only satellite internet, so I can't call or text people. I wish they used something else so I could communicate with them. But going up to people who want to keep in touch and asking them to use a completely different program just for me is a lot harder than it should be.

I don't ever post and I'm pretty isolated from my old friends these days, but if I disabled my facebook I would have absolutely no access to them. Yeah, you could say "phone" but most of them don't have my number anymore, and if I publicly posted it on Facebook I would have to talk to a lot of people that I don't want to talk to.

It's just easier as it is, and someone like me dropping Facebook will have no impact on the millions of useless millennials that use it like a drug.

Are you saying those folks on Facebook are completely shallow?

Just that social media, specifically Facebook, promotes narcissism.

It's the only line of contact I have with several people.
