And the NSA very likely have access to Apple's source code anyway, I'll be fair and say Apple didn't give it to them and that they stole it, however I am sure they have it.
I think marketing is the key reason on Apple's side, it will be good for them. I suspect they will win, so then watch everyone start to believe the iPhone is super secure and trust it 100%, that would be amazing for the government to have everyone believing it's safe when it's actually compromised and great for Apple also.
I'm sure Apple will win this for those reasons and this is exactly why this one case is being so hyped and publicized.
