Ugh, I really hope revolution doesnt start with a bunch of religious nuts leading it. I see what they are fighting for and agree with some of it and can see that nobody has a complete picture of the situation and they could be wrong, but if this snow balls I dont want some one who is spouting off about god to be putting a new government in place.
I do. It'll be easier to get more level headed people to join a secular movement later. You can use the excuse of, "you can either let level headed people have there guns and rights, or you can let religious nuts with guns tell you what to do with your life."
No. It will not be easier, it would be a second revolution to remove religious nuts after they took over, and probably a failed one because there are far more religious than non. I feel like most folks dont have the will or strength to lead especially when they have to have an imaginary friend tell them how to live their lives. All it would take would be a "vision from god" or some bullshit and we would end up in a theocracy like the middle east.
George Carlin covered this speaking about the Scantity of Life but a bit of that applies all around.
Hey if you read history, you realize that God is one of the leading causes of death, has been for thousands of years. Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Christians, all taking turns killing each other because God told them it was a good idea. The sword of God, the blood of the lamb, vengeance is mine, millions of dead motherfuckers, all because they gave the wrong answer to the God question.
'You believe in God?'
'No.'
BANG Dead.
'You believe in God?'
'Yes.'
'You believe in my God?'
'No.'
Bang Dead.
'My God has a bigger dick than your God!' That's how it is, isn't it? Thousands of years, and all the best wars too, the bloodiest, most brutal wars fought all based on religious hatred, which is fine with me. Anytime a bunch of holy people want to kill each other, I'm a happy guy

Funny how he said he would leave when the locals asked him, but chanting it doesn't count. God wants him there now, eh? I thought an announcement of his departure date was imminent not too long ago. But now god chimes in.

As a gun owner, I really wish most gun owners weren't religious wackos.

Shows how much faith they really have in the invisible man in the sky.

I hear ya, and agree. To bad they are the only ones with the balls to even try something like this.

Superstitious BS aside, nothing has changed as far as I can tell from reading this article.

Eh, such claims are thinly veiled attempts to manipulate the weak minded into supporting their cause.
